Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi's island resorts, and smaller destinations such as Koh Chang and Koh Phangan. Common vacancies include front office, guest relations, food and beverage, housekeeping, spa, diving, sales, and resort management. Thai culture values respect, friendliness, modesty, and saving face; learning basic Thai phrases is useful. Island life is relaxed, warm, and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, markets, temples, and lively seasonal tourism, although transport and healthcare can be more limited than in Bangkok. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working; requirements vary by nationality and position. Employers may assist with paperwork, accommodation, meals, or airport transfers. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, working hours, contract terms, and visa support before relocating, and budget for deposits, transport, and quieter low-season periods.
