Job Description

The Head of Financial Control and Reporting leads Qantas’s financial control, statutory reporting, management reporting and accounting governance activities. The role requires extensive experience in senior finance leadership, financial reporting, audit, internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance, together with strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards. Candidates should be qualified accountants, commercially minded and confident working with executives, auditors and cross-functional stakeholders. Qantas would expect strategic judgement, strong communication, attention to detail and the ability to lead high-performing teams through complex reporting cycles, process improvements and business change. Experience in a large, listed or highly regulated organisation, preferably aviation, would be advantageous.
