Class 1 LGV Driver

Job Description

The Class 1 LGV Driver is responsible for safely transporting mail, parcels and other loads between Royal Mail sites, depots and delivery units across the United Kingdom. Candidates normally need a valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence, Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), a digital tachograph card and a safe driving record. Previous LGV or HGV experience is desirable. The role requires compliance with driving-hour regulations, vehicle safety checks, accurate paperwork and professional conduct. Candidates should be dependable, physically fit, customer-focused and comfortable working independently, including early mornings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and changing routes or schedules.
