Job Description

The Chef-Pastry role is responsible for preparing and presenting breads, pastries, desserts, cakes and other bakery items to Marriott brand standards. Candidates typically need professional culinary or pastry training, previous hotel or commercial kitchen experience, knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures, and the ability to manage recipes, ingredients, production schedules and quality control. The successful candidate is expected to work creatively and consistently, maintain a clean and organized workstation, control wastage and costs, support colleagues during busy service periods, and follow all health, safety and sanitation requirements. Flexibility, teamwork, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays are important.
