Indonesia offers hospitality, engineering, marine-tourism, construction, technology and service-sector opportunities, particularly in Bali, Java, Lombok and Flores. Labuan Bajo is a growing tourism destination and gateway to Komodo National Park, with a relaxed coastal lifestyle, warm weather, island excursions and a strong local culture influenced by Flores traditions. Living costs can be moderate, although imported goods and accommodation near resort areas may be expensive. Indonesian is the main language, while English is widely used in hotels and tourism. Foreign employees generally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate work and stay permits; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Before relocating, confirm the contract, housing, medical insurance, transport, tax arrangements and permit responsibilities. Labuan Bajo has an airport and essential services, but specialist healthcare and shopping are more limited than in Bali or Jakarta.
