Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the broadest hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, healthcare, and business opportunities. Abu Dhabi provides a polished, family-oriented lifestyle, modern infrastructure, beaches, cultural attractions, and generally a quieter pace than Dubai. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international population; respectful dress, professional conduct, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are comfortable and ideal for outdoor activities. Employers commonly arrange work visas, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and flights. Confirm these benefits in writing before accepting an offer. Applicants normally need a passport, verified qualifications, medical clearance, and an employment contract. Relocation costs, probation terms, gratuity, and leave allowances should also be checked carefully.
