Job Description

The Handyperson supports the hotel’s Engineering team by completing general repairs, preventative maintenance and basic building upkeep across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities. Requirements typically include practical maintenance experience, skills in carpentry, painting, plumbing or minor electrical work, strong problem-solving ability and safe work practices. A trade qualification or relevant certificates may be advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to respond promptly to maintenance requests, maintain high presentation standards, follow workplace health and safety procedures, communicate courteously with guests and colleagues, and work flexibly across shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Experience in a hotel or commercial property environment is desirable.
