Job Description

The Pastry Demi Chef supports the pastry team in preparing desserts, breads, cakes, pastries and other baked items to W Brisbane’s quality standards. Requirements typically include commercial pastry or bakery experience, food-safety knowledge, strong organisation and the ability to follow recipes and presentation guidelines. Formal culinary training or relevant hospitality qualifications are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to work efficiently in a busy hotel kitchen, maintain consistent quality and hygiene, manage preparation and storage correctly, minimise waste and cooperate with chefs and other departments.
