Destination Guide

Fiji offers employment opportunities in resorts, hotels, restaurants, tourism, construction, retail, education, healthcare, and marine activities. Tokoriki Island is a small, scenic resort island, so life is peaceful, community-oriented, and closely connected to the sea. Employees should expect a warm tropical climate, limited shopping and services, and boat or air travel to reach Nadi and the main islands. Fijian culture places strong importance on family, respect, hospitality, community, and village traditions; learning basic greetings and observing local customs is appreciated. Resort jobs commonly include staff accommodation, meals, uniforms, and sometimes transport, but these benefits should be confirmed in the offer. Foreign workers normally need an employer-supported work permit before starting employment, along with appropriate entry permission, medical checks, and document verification. Candidates should confirm visa sponsorship, contract terms, accommodation, deductions, insurance, and return travel arrangements before relocating.
