Company Info

TA'AKTANA, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo is a high-end Marriott-affiliated resort in West Flores, Indonesia. The property is positioned as a gateway to the Komodo region, combining luxury accommodation, wellness experiences, dining and access to distinctive coastal and island attractions. As part of The Luxury Collection, it is expected to emphasize authentic local character, personalized service and thoughtfully designed guest experiences. The resort serves international leisure travelers, luxury groups, destination events and corporate guests. Its commercial team works across leisure, wholesale, corporate, meetings and events markets to build demand for the destination and the property. Working there would suit hospitality professionals interested in developing a premium resort in one of Indonesia’s fastest-growing tourism areas, while collaborating with global Marriott standards and local communities.

Destination Guide

Labuan Bajo is a small coastal town on Flores Island and the main base for visiting Komodo National Park, with boat trips, diving, beaches and dramatic viewpoints nearby. Tourism, hospitality, food and beverage, marine activities, transport and guest services provide the strongest job opportunities, especially for people with English, sales, hotel or diving experience. Local culture blends Catholic Flores traditions with Indonesian customs, and respectful dress, greetings and community relationships matter. Life is relaxed but more remote than Bali, with a smaller shopping scene, hot weather and seasonal tourism demand. Foreign employees generally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate Indonesian work and stay permits; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocation packages may include accommodation, meals, transport, flights or medical cover, but this varies by employer. Bali or Jakarta can offer broader career networks, while Flores provides a quieter lifestyle and closer access to nature.
