Destination Guide

Indonesia offers opportunities in resort sales, hotel operations, tourism, diving, wellness, food and beverage, engineering, and travel services. Labuan Bajo, on Flores, is a growing destination known for Komodo National Park, beaches, diving, boat trips, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle. The culture is welcoming and community-oriented, with strong local traditions, religious diversity, and an emphasis on respectful dress and behavior. Living costs are generally lower than in Jakarta or Bali, although imported goods and housing near luxury resorts can be expensive. Employees should expect a warm climate, seasonal rain, limited urban infrastructure, and travel by boat or domestic flight to nearby islands. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate Indonesian work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Confirm visa, tax, insurance, housing, and relocation arrangements with the employer before accepting an offer.
