Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, modern city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and logistics. Hotels regularly recruit in food and beverage, culinary operations, housekeeping, engineering, front office and management. The culture is multicultural, generally safe and highly organised, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle highlights include excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, green spaces and easy access to Southeast Asia. Housing can be expensive, especially near central districts, so many employees share accommodation or live outside the city centre. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary and occupation. Candidates should confirm eligibility, medical requirements and pass conditions before accepting an offer. Relocation planning should include housing, transport, insurance and daily living costs.
