Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest number of hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, and service-sector opportunities. Resort and hotel jobs are widely available, particularly for candidates with customer-service experience and strong English skills. UAE culture blends Arab traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respect for local customs are important, especially during Ramadan. Dubai offers beaches, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, desert excursions, and excellent public transport, although summer temperatures are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor a work visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for successful overseas hires. Many hotels provide accommodation, meals, transport, health insurance, annual leave, and an air ticket, but packages vary. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charges, housing, working hours, probation terms, and visa sponsorship in writing.
