Destination Guide

Spain’s islands, including the Balearic and Canary Islands, offer regular opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering, housekeeping, and tourism, especially during the busy summer season. Mallorca, Ibiza, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria have the broadest hospitality markets, while smaller islands generally offer a quieter lifestyle and fewer year-round jobs. Island culture is relaxed and social, with strong seafood, local-food, music, and outdoor traditions. Living costs can be high in popular resort areas, particularly for accommodation. EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens can work with relatively simple registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need a job offer and employer-supported work authorization before relocating. Candidates should confirm accommodation, contract length, transport, healthcare, and seasonal arrangements before accepting a position. Spanish is useful, although English and other languages are commonly valued in tourism.
