Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, wellness, and leisure, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, and Kuching. Kuching is in Sarawak on Borneo, known for rainforest, rivers, diverse wildlife, and a relaxed multicultural lifestyle. Malaysia combines Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Indigenous traditions, with English widely used in hotels and business. Living costs are generally moderate, though accommodation varies by city and resort location. Employees should confirm whether housing, transport, meals, medical cover, and flights are included. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and approval before starting employment; requirements depend on nationality and role. Employers typically manage much of the immigration process. Bring certified documents, allow time for medical checks, and verify contract terms before relocating.
