Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island nation, but it offers a highly international lifestyle across cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with beaches, desert landscapes, shopping, dining and year-round hospitality activity. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, events companies and tourism businesses provide opportunities for sales, front office, culinary, housekeeping and management professionals. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values and a large expatriate community; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected in public and workplaces. Dubai has excellent transport, healthcare, schools and entertainment, although accommodation and living costs can be high. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored work permit and residence visa; the employer normally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and related formalities. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation or allowance, insurance, flights, leave and gratuity provisions before accepting an offer. Relocation is easiest with valid passport documents and authenticated qualifications where required.
