Company Info

The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island The Pearl Qatar is a luxury hotel operated under Marriott International’s St. Regis brand. Located on The Pearl-Qatar, the property combines refined accommodation, personalized butler-style service, restaurants, leisure facilities, and waterfront surroundings. St. Regis hotels are known for elegant design, formal yet warm hospitality, and highly attentive guest experiences. Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across many countries. Employees and interns typically work in a multicultural environment and receive exposure to international hotel standards, structured operating procedures, and guest-service practices. The property offers opportunities for hospitality students and early-career candidates to gain practical experience in housekeeping, food and beverage, front office, culinary operations, and other hotel departments.

Destination Guide

The Pearl-Qatar is a man-made island in Doha rather than a remote island destination. It offers luxury hotels, restaurants, cafes, beaches, marinas, shopping, and residential communities, with nearby areas such as Lusail and West Bay providing additional hospitality and retail jobs. Qatar’s culture is rooted in Islamic traditions, so modest clothing, respectful public behavior, and sensitivity during Ramadan are important. The lifestyle is modern, safe, and international, although summers are extremely hot and outdoor activity is more comfortable from autumn through spring. Most foreign workers require employer-sponsored work and residence permits; interns should confirm whether the hotel provides sponsorship, accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, and a formal internship agreement. Before relocating, candidates should verify passport, medical, contract, and visa requirements with Marriott or Qatar authorities. Public transport and taxis are available, while accommodation costs can be high without employer support.
