Job Description

The Commis 3 – Banqueting supports the banquet kitchen team with food preparation, basic cooking, mise en place, portioning, plating and maintaining clean, organized work areas. Candidates should ideally have culinary training or previous experience in a hotel, restaurant or large-scale catering operation. The role requires knowledge of food hygiene, safe equipment use and kitchen procedures. Employers expect reliability, teamwork, good communication, stamina and the ability to work efficiently during busy events, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. A willingness to learn, follow instructions and maintain Marriott’s quality and safety standards is essential. Previous banquet or international hotel experience is helpful but may not always be required for an entry-level commis position.
