Company Info

Sheraton Jakarta Soekarno Hatta Airport is part of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a global hospitality brand operated by Marriott International. The hotel serves airport travellers, business guests, airline crews, leisure visitors and local companies seeking accommodation, dining, meetings and events. Its connection to Marriott provides access to an international network, established service standards, training resources and employee travel benefits, subject to eligibility. A sales professional at the property would help grow corporate accounts, group business, meetings, events and other commercial partnerships while representing the Sheraton brand in the Jakarta market. Marriott International is one of the world's largest hotel companies, with a broad portfolio of brands and properties across many countries. Working for the company can offer structured career development and opportunities to move between departments, hotels and destinations.

Destination Guide

The role is based in Jakarta, on Java, Indonesia's main business island, rather than a resort island. Job opportunities are strongest in hospitality, aviation, finance, technology, retail, events and international business. Jakarta offers diverse food, shopping, entertainment and cultural experiences, but traffic, humidity, air pollution and a fast-paced lifestyle can be challenging. Indonesian culture values hospitality, respect for hierarchy, community and religious diversity; learning Bahasa Indonesia is highly useful. Employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate Indonesian work visa, so candidates should not work on a tourist visa. Employers commonly assist with sponsorship, documentation and relocation, but this should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Housing near the hotel, transport arrangements, health insurance, taxes and allowances should also be discussed. Bali and other islands offer a slower lifestyle, but Jakarta generally provides broader career opportunities.
