Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied hospitality opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu, Johor and other resort destinations. Hotels, restaurants, events, tourism, aviation and wellness businesses regularly recruit sales, front-office, culinary and service professionals. Kuala Lumpur provides an urban lifestyle with excellent shopping, public transport, international food, nightlife and a relatively moderate cost of living, while island destinations offer a slower beach-and-outdoor lifestyle. Malaysia is culturally diverse, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences; English is widely used in hotels and business. Employees should respect local customs, religious practices and dress expectations. Foreign nationals usually need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, with approval handled through the company and Malaysian authorities before starting work. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, insurance, relocation support and permit conditions before accepting an offer.
