Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Phangan, and other resort islands, especially in hotels, restaurants, wellness, diving, events, and guest services. Phuket has the broadest job market and international connections, while Samui and Phangan offer a slower lifestyle with seasonal resort and tourism work. Island culture combines Thai traditions, Buddhist values, seafood cuisine, festivals, and a welcoming community, although workers should respect local customs and dress appropriately at temples. Lifestyle is generally outdoors-focused, with beaches, water sports, nightlife, and a lower cost of living than many global cities, though popular islands can be expensive. Foreign nationals normally need a Thai employer-sponsored work permit and the appropriate non-immigrant visa; working on a tourist visa is illegal. Arrange a written contract, verify accommodation and service-charge terms, and budget for transport, healthcare, and deposits before relocating.
