Destination Guide

Australia offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events and revenue management, particularly in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and resort destinations. Workplace culture is generally professional, relatively informal and focused on teamwork, safety and work-life balance. Melbourne provides excellent dining, arts, sport and public transport, although housing can be expensive. Australia has a relaxed lifestyle, diverse communities and extensive outdoor activities. Overseas applicants usually need an appropriate work visa, such as an employer-sponsored visa, skilled visa or eligible working-holiday visa; requirements depend on nationality, occupation and experience. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, work rights, health insurance, tax, accommodation and relocation costs before accepting an offer. For a 12-month maternity-cover role, employers may prioritise applicants already authorised to work in Australia.
