Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi is an island city connected to the mainland by bridges. Hospitality offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, aviation and tourism, especially for candidates with English, Arabic or other language skills. UAE workplaces are multicultural, professional and service-focused. Local culture values respect, modest dress, punctuality, family, religion and courteous behavior; alcohol is restricted to licensed venues. Abu Dhabi offers a safe, modern lifestyle with beaches, shopping malls, desert activities, international dining and excellent healthcare. Summers are extremely hot, while winter is pleasant for outdoor activities. Most overseas employees require employer sponsorship, a work permit, medical screening and a residence visa; employers commonly arrange these after hiring. Confirm package details for accommodation, transport, insurance and flights before relocating. Costs can be high, particularly for private housing, so compare the full benefits package with the stated salary.
