Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a modern Gulf destination offering strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, events, retail, aviation, tourism, and business services. Dubai has a fast-paced, international lifestyle, excellent public transport, modern shopping and entertainment, and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a large expatriate community, so respectful dress, courtesy, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. English is widely used in workplaces, while Arabic is the official language. Most overseas hospitality employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer usually arranges medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and the work permit. Contracts may include accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, and annual leave, but terms should be checked carefully. Relocation costs, rent, deposits, and document attestation should be planned in advance.
