Job Description

The Duty Technician is responsible for maintaining hotel facilities, equipment, utilities, guest rooms, and public areas in safe and reliable working condition. Duties may include preventive maintenance, responding to repair requests, troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and building systems, and recording completed work. Candidates typically need technical or vocational training, practical maintenance experience, and basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate should be safety-conscious, dependable, physically capable, service-oriented, and able to respond quickly to guest and operational needs while following Marriott and hotel engineering standards.
