Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phi Phi and other tourist islands, especially in hotels, restaurants, events, diving, wellness and guest services. Phuket has the largest employment market and a lively international lifestyle, while Koh Samui is more relaxed and seasonal. Thai culture values politeness, respect, family, modesty and calm communication; learning basic Thai phrases is highly appreciated. Island living offers beaches, outdoor activities and affordable local food, but housing, transport and imported goods can cost more in resort areas. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before legally working. Requirements vary by nationality, role and employer, so candidates should confirm documentation directly with the hotel and Thai authorities. Budget for deposits, health insurance, transport and initial accommodation, and check whether staff housing or meals are included.
