Seamstress

Job Description

The Seamstress is responsible for repairing, altering and maintaining uniforms, guest-room linen, towels, curtains and other fabric items used throughout the resort. Candidates should have practical sewing and garment-repair experience, knowledge of sewing machines, and the ability to work with different fabrics. Attention to detail, neat workmanship, good time management and the ability to complete urgent repairs are important. The role also requires safe handling of equipment, accurate record keeping and cooperation with Housekeeping, Laundry and other departments. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, tailoring shop or garment facility is preferred. A reliable, service-minded attitude and willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, are expected.
