Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality, tourism, restaurant, wellness, marine activity and resort jobs, especially in Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Chang and the Khao Lak area. Khao Lak is a quieter coastal destination on the Andaman mainland, close to island trips such as the Similan and Surin Islands. Thai culture places strong value on politeness, respect, modest dress at temples and maintaining a calm manner. Lifestyle is relaxed, tropical and community-oriented, although rainy seasons can be intense. International interns should confirm whether the employer arranges the correct Non-Immigrant visa, work authorization and internship documentation before arrival; tourist visas do not permit employment. Budget for accommodation, transport, insurance and deposits, and verify benefits such as meals or staff housing. Learning basic Thai is useful, while English is common in resorts.
