Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a modern Gulf federation offering strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, technology and finance. Dubai has a highly international lifestyle, excellent public transport, beaches, shopping, entertainment and a busy hospitality scene. The culture blends Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; modest dress in public places, respect for religion and local customs, and awareness of UAE laws are important. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are more comfortable for outdoor activities. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit; the company normally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and employment documentation. Candidates should confirm accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, air tickets, probation terms and gratuity before accepting an offer. Relocation is generally straightforward through an established hotel, although living costs in Dubai can be high, particularly for private housing.
