Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities across hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, construction, healthcare, technology, and trades. Hospitality work is especially common in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, regional resorts, and coastal destinations. Australian workplace culture is generally informal but professional, with strong emphasis on punctuality, safety, equality, and reliable customer service. Perth provides a relaxed lifestyle, sunny weather, beaches, outdoor activities, and comparatively less congestion than Australia’s eastern capitals, although housing costs can be high. People relocating usually need an appropriate visa, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa, or skilled visa; eligibility depends on nationality, age, qualifications, and occupation. Applicants should confirm work rights, health insurance, tax-file requirements, and accommodation costs before accepting a role. International candidates may also need police checks, an Australian driver’s licence, and evidence of driving eligibility for valet work.
