Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Nusa Lembongan, Lombok, the Gili Islands, Java, and other resort destinations. Common roles include hotel operations, finance, culinary, diving, wellness, engineering, sales, and guest relations. Nusa Lembongan has a relaxed island lifestyle, strong local community, Hindu cultural traditions, and easy access to beaches, surfing, snorkeling, and diving. Living costs can be moderate, although imported goods and transport may cost more than on mainland Bali. Respect local ceremonies, dress appropriately at temples, and learn basic Indonesian phrases. Foreign employees generally require employer sponsorship and an appropriate work permit and limited-stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers may assist with immigration, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and flights, but packages vary. Relocation requires planning for ferry transfers, healthcare access, banking, housing, and adapting to slower island logistics.
