Destination Guide

Singapore is a highly connected island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, logistics, healthcare, and tourism. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals, languages, and business culture. Life is safe, efficient, and convenient, with excellent public transport, modern housing, shopping, and dining. The tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain. Rent can be expensive, so interns often consider shared accommodation near MRT stations. Foreign interns generally need an approved work pass, commonly a Training Employment Pass or another suitable pass arranged with the sponsoring organisation; eligibility depends on nationality, institution, salary, and programme structure. Arrange the pass before starting work and confirm medical insurance, accommodation, and relocation support with Marriott. Singapore also provides easy access to Malaysia and other Asian destinations during holidays.
