Destination Guide

Thailand offers varied opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, sales, diving, wellness, and corporate services. Bangkok is the strongest base for year-round hospitality and office employment, while Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, and Pattaya provide more resort-focused work, often with seasonal fluctuations. Thai culture values politeness, respect for elders, modest behaviour, and saving face; learning basic Thai is highly useful. Island life can be relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, markets, seafood, and water activities, but housing, transport, healthcare access, and internet quality vary by location. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working; requirements depend on nationality and role. Employers commonly assist with documentation, though candidates should confirm sponsorship, salary, accommodation, insurance, and service-charge terms. Bangkok generally offers more reliable transport and services, while island relocation may require higher living costs and less predictable employment.
