Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf destination with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, events, finance, technology, and construction. Dubai offers an international lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, beaches, shopping, dining, and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. The culture combines rapid global development with Islamic traditions; modest dress in public places, respectful behaviour, and awareness of local customs are important. English is widely used in business, while Arabic is the official language. Most expatriate employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas, with the company usually arranging medical tests, Emirates ID processing, and labour approvals. Before relocating, candidates should confirm salary, accommodation or allowance, transport, insurance, annual leave, flights, and probation terms. Housing can be expensive, especially near Dubai Marina and JBR, so budgeting is important. UAE employment rules and visa requirements can change, so official government guidance should be checked before travel.
