Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago offering hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Sumatra, and other islands. Surabaya, on Java, has strong employment prospects in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, logistics, and business services. Bali and Lombok provide more resort-focused roles, while Jakarta and major cities offer corporate and luxury-hotel careers. Indonesian culture generally values courtesy, community, modesty, and respectful communication; English is useful in international hotels. Living costs vary considerably, with Surabaya usually more affordable than Bali or Jakarta. Employees can enjoy diverse food, tropical weather, beaches, mountains, arts, and vibrant local traditions, although traffic and humid conditions may require adjustment. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work visa and work permit, while Indonesian citizens need standard identity and employment documents. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, accommodation, healthcare, tax, and relocation benefits before accepting an offer.
