The Sous Chef – Pan Asian (Chinese) supports the Executive Chef in managing the Chinese kitchen and ensuring consistently high food quality. Requirements typically include several years of professional Chinese or Pan Asian culinary experience, strong knowledge of Chinese ingredients, cooking methods and presentation, and previous experience in a luxury hotel or resort. The successful candidate should be capable of leading and training culinary colleagues, planning menus, controlling food costs, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and supervising service during busy periods. Creativity, organization, teamwork, flexibility and the ability to work in an island resort environment are essential. A culinary qualification and good spoken English are generally expected.
