Destination Guide

Australia offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, cafés and tourism businesses, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Queensland’s coastal resorts and regional destinations. The culture is generally informal, multicultural and service-focused, with emphasis on punctuality, teamwork, workplace safety and friendly communication. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal or regional communities; public transport is strongest in major cities, while a car is often useful outside them. Employees should budget carefully because accommodation and living costs, especially in Sydney, are high. Most overseas workers need a visa with work rights, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another eligible temporary visa. Requirements depend on nationality, age, occupation and sponsorship. Secure a written offer, confirm pay and conditions, arrange suitable health insurance, and check official Australian immigration guidance before relocating. Australia has strong workplace protections, including minimum pay, leave and safety rights.
