Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality job markets. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering companies, and event venues regularly recruit chefs, pastry specialists, service staff, engineers, and supervisors. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respect for local customs are expected, while English is widely used at work. Dubai offers an energetic lifestyle, beaches, shopping, dining, and entertainment, but rent and summer temperatures can be high. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Candidates should confirm salary, gratuity, leave, insurance, housing, and visa terms before relocating.
