Destination Guide

Ireland offers strong opportunities in financial services, technology, consulting, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, construction and infrastructure. Dublin is the main employment hub, while Cork, Galway and Limerick also have active business and technology sectors. Irish workplace culture is generally collaborative, informal and relationship-focused, with English used professionally. The lifestyle combines lively cities, coastal scenery, historic towns and easy access to outdoor activities, although housing and rents, particularly in Dublin, are expensive. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work without an employment permit. Most non-EU nationals require an employment permit, commonly a Critical Skills Employment Permit for eligible specialist roles, followed by immigration registration. Applicants should secure a job offer, check salary and occupation eligibility, arrange accommodation early and review tax, healthcare and banking requirements before relocating.
