Destination Guide

Malaysia offers logistics, aviation, manufacturing, technology, tourism, healthcare and shared-services opportunities, especially around Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor and Sabah. Its islands and coastal regions provide a relaxed lifestyle, excellent food, beaches and outdoor activities, while major cities offer modern housing, hospitals, shopping and international schools. Malaysian culture is multicultural, blending Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous traditions, with English widely used in business. Living costs are generally moderate, although Kuala Lumpur and popular island destinations can be more expensive. Foreign employees usually need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, with the company handling much of the application process; approval depends on qualifications, salary and the role. Relocating workers should arrange a valid passport, health insurance, accommodation and document legalization, and check current immigration rules before travel.
