Destination Guide

Indonesia offers varied opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, technology, tourism, finance, and renewable energy. For this role, Jakarta and surrounding areas on Java provide the strongest corporate and distribution networks, while Surabaya, Batam, Bali, and major ports also offer transport and warehouse employment. Java is busy, connected, and urban; Bali has a more international lifestyle but higher housing costs; Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan offer growing industrial and resource sectors with a quieter pace. Indonesian culture values hospitality, respect, community, and religious diversity. Expect tropical weather, traffic in major cities, and affordable local food, though international housing and schooling can be expensive. Foreign employees generally need employer sponsorship, an appropriate work visa, and a limited-stay residence permit; working without authorization is prohibited. Research regional regulations, healthcare, housing, insurance, and schooling before relocating.
