Job Description

This role manages cybersecurity for Rakuten Payment’s products and services, supporting security governance, risk assessment, vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, and compliance activities. Candidates should have professional experience in cybersecurity, information systems, network or application security, and familiarity with security frameworks, risk management, and relevant Japanese or international regulations. Engineering applicants are expected to investigate threats, improve controls, coordinate with development and operations teams, and communicate findings clearly. Managerial candidates should additionally lead security programs, manage stakeholders, prioritize risks, and guide team members. Business-level Japanese and English may be valuable because the role involves cross-functional and international collaboration.
