Job Description

The Hygiene Executive is responsible for maintaining high standards of food hygiene, sanitation and workplace cleanliness throughout Mercure Miri City Centre. Typical requirements include experience in hotel, restaurant or food-safety operations, knowledge of HACCP and Malaysian hygiene regulations, good inspection and reporting skills, and confidence delivering staff training. The candidate is expected to conduct regular hygiene audits, monitor food handling and storage practices, maintain documentation, follow up on corrective actions, support pest-control and sanitation programmes, and work closely with kitchen, housekeeping and engineering teams. Attention to detail, integrity, practical problem-solving and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels are important.
