Job Description

The Halal Executive is responsible for maintaining the hotel's halal compliance across kitchens, restaurants, purchasing and food storage. Typical requirements include relevant halal, food science, hospitality or Islamic studies qualifications, knowledge of Malaysian halal standards and certification procedures, and experience in hotel or food-and-beverage operations. The candidate is expected to coordinate with suppliers and certification authorities, maintain documentation, inspect ingredients and preparation areas, conduct internal audits, train colleagues and ensure corrective actions are completed. Strong attention to detail, communication skills, integrity and the ability to work closely with culinary, stewarding and procurement teams are essential. Familiarity with JAKIM requirements and Malaysian food-safety regulations would be highly advantageous.
