Electrician

Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, equipment and fixtures throughout the hotel. Requirements typically include a vocational qualification or diploma in electrical engineering, relevant hotel or building-maintenance experience, and practical knowledge of electrical safety, preventive maintenance and local regulations. The candidate should be able to read wiring diagrams, respond to maintenance requests, identify faults quickly and work safely with minimal supervision. Experience with hotel engineering systems, air-conditioning controls, lighting, power distribution and emergency equipment is advantageous. Good communication, teamwork, reliability, flexibility for shifts and a guest-focused attitude are expected.
