Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, events, construction, healthcare, and technology provide regular employment opportunities for international workers. Sharjah is known for its family-oriented atmosphere, museums, cultural sites, traditional souks, and comparatively lower living costs than Dubai. Life is modern and convenient, with extensive shopping, restaurants, public transport, and desert and coastal activities nearby. The culture is welcoming but conservative: modest dress, respect for religion, and awareness of local laws are important. Employers commonly arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, and annual airfare. Candidates should confirm all benefits in writing, check contract terms, and avoid paying recruitment fees. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant for outdoor activities.
