Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai is a coastal destination with a highly international lifestyle and strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, events, retail, aviation, and business services. Dubai’s culture blends Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; respectful dress and conduct are expected, particularly during Ramadan and at religious sites. The lifestyle is modern and energetic, with beaches, shopping, dining, desert activities, and excellent transport, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Most overseas employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange entry permits, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and health insurance, though contract details vary. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, accommodation or allowance, transport, flights, leave, and probation terms before relocating. Housing costs can be significant, so location and benefits matter.
