Job Description

The Events Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering conferences, meetings, weddings and other events at Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. Requirements typically include hospitality or event-management experience, strong organization and communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage budgets, suppliers, clients and hotel departments. Experience with luxury hotels, event sales, Opera or similar systems, and fluent English is advantageous; Thai-language ability is valuable for local clients. The successful candidate is expected to build client relationships, convert inquiries into business, coordinate event details accurately, maintain high service standards, resolve issues professionally and achieve revenue and guest-satisfaction targets. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and during busy periods is essential.
