Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Ajman located on the Arabian Gulf coast. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, food and beverage, and events offer many employment opportunities, particularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and the northern emirates. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress, courtesy, and respect for local customs are important. Residents enjoy modern malls, beaches, restaurants, desert activities, and excellent transport, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor a residence visa and work permit, arrange a medical examination and Emirates ID, and may provide accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and flights. Employees should confirm the full package, contract terms, probation period, working hours, and gratuity before relocating. Ajman generally offers a quieter and more affordable lifestyle than Dubai.
