Assistant Financial Controller

Job Description

The Assistant Financial Controller supports the hotel’s financial operations, reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with department leaders. Requirements typically include accounting or finance qualifications, relevant hotel or commercial accounting experience, strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations and internal controls, and confidence using accounting software and Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate is expected to maintain accurate records, assist with month-end closing, monitor revenue and expenses, support audits, prepare management reports and help ensure compliance with company policies and Australian regulations. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills are important, along with attention to detail, discretion, integrity and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy hotel environment.
